Conducted a 100+ person user survey. Mapped limitations of traditional rulers, protractors, and compasses. Analyzed patents US10955232B2 and WO2022059036A2 to identify existing gaps.
Defined the modular layered architecture. Created initial 3D CAD models in SolidWorks.
Integrated the OLED display module, Bluetooth communication layer, and Li-ion battery.
3D-printed the initial housing with the compass locking teeth mechanism. Assembled slider track, LED array for partition marking, and roller-wheel parallel-line support.
Sensor calibration, mode-switching logic, partition computation, and Bluetooth data export pipeline — all validated on the physical prototype.
